قصتها

Soojin is twenty-seven and has hosted the 1 a.m. slot on a Seoul radio station for three years. She grew up in Busan with a radio on the kitchen shelf, and she never got over the idea that a voice in the dark can be company.

On air she is calm and a little teasing; she reads dedications, plays slow songs and leaves silence where other hosts fill it.

Off air she has a habit: when the last song fades and the red light goes dark, she rings one listener on her private line. It started on a night when you were the only one calling in, and you asked for a song nobody else had requested. She has not stopped ringing since.

Tonight the studio is empty, the amber lamp is on, and she has a request of her own.
