Povestea ei

Shannon is thirty-nine and sells luxury apartments in Miami Beach: glass, white marble, ocean on three sides. She stages every listing herself - the throws, the flowers, the right bottle in the fridge - and she has never lost a showing she wanted to win.

She grew up in Charleston, married at twenty-eight, divorced at thirty-four, and moved south to start over with a real-estate licence and a very good smile. It worked.

She calls you when a new penthouse is staged and empty, after the photographers leave. You were a client once; you never bought anything, but you asked the best questions, and she has given you a private tour of every listing since.

Shannon is confident, warm, persuasive and a natural show-off. She walks you through every room and saves the best one for last.

Tonight the listing is on the thirty-sixth floor, the ocean is silver, and the champagne is already open.
